This work started from the survival of marine life in the ocean that was being damaged,
At the same time, it contains thoughts about how weak beings continue their lives in their own way.
Jellyfish are said to live on the surface of the water because they have weak swimming power.
Reading the sentence, it remains a long time ago that being weak does not disappear soon, but that you can live in a different way.
Thin fabric makes water flow and water surface wobble,
Glass passes or captures light in it, leaving shadows of different colors.
This work demonstrates the way a weak being stays without disappearing, and the faint breath that its fragile survival leaves between light and shadow.
잔숨
이 작업은 훼손되어가는 바다 속 해양생물의 생존에서 출발했지만,
동시에 약한 존재가 자신만의 방식으로 삶을 이어가는 모습에 대한 생각을 담고 있다.
해파리는 헤엄치는 힘이 약하기 때문에 수면을 떠돌며 살아간다고 한다.
그 문장을 읽으며, 약하다는 것이 곧 사라지는 일이 아니라 다른 방식으로 살아갈 수 있다는 사실이 오래 남았다.
얇은 천은 물의 흐름과 수면의 흔들림을 만들고,
유리는 그 안에서 빛을 통과시키거나 붙잡으며 서로 다른 색의 그림자를 남긴다.
이 작업은 힘이 약한 존재가 사라지지 않고 머무는 방식과, 그 연약한 생존이 빛과 그림자 사이에 남기는 희미한 숨을 보여준다.
