Desire has long been called a dark and dangerous emotion—something that, if uncontrolled, leads to ruin, and if crossed, becomes a sin. Yet human progress has always begun with desire: the wish to know more, go farther, and imagine a more convenient world. In that process, nature was consumed and balance was broken, but upon desire we built culture and art—and the world we live in today. Desire is neither purely good nor evil. It is a force that demands direction, an energy that carries responsibility. This work does not judge desire. Instead, it portrays the paradoxical harmony of an “unnatural nature” created by desire—through varied compositions, colors, and their balance.

욕망은 오랫동안 어둡고 위험한 감정으로 불려왔다. 통제되지 않으면 파괴로 이어지고, 넘어서면 죄가 된다고 배워왔다. 하지만 인간의 발전은 언제나 욕망에서 시작되었다. 더 알고 싶었고, 더 멀리 가고 싶었으며, 더 편리한 세상을 꿈꾸었다. 그 과정에서 자연은 훼손되었고 균형은 깨졌지만, 그 욕망 위에 문명과 예술, 그리고 지금의 세계가 세워졌다. 욕망은 선도 악도 아니다. 그것은 방향을 요구하는 힘이며, 책임을 동반한 에너지다. 이 작품은 욕망을 판단하지 않는다. 다만 욕망이 만들어낸 부자연스러우면서도 자연스러움을 다양한 구성과 색, 그 조화로 표현한다.
