The Duality of Desire

The stream of water flowing from a broken moon jar, and the flowers and butterflies spilling from a hand, symbolize the dual nature of desire. Desire is a force that brings life to bloom and sets the world in motion, yet at the same time it shatters nature, leaving instability and rupture. By combining traditional patterns with elements of nature, this work portrays an inner human landscape where fullness and emptiness, creation and destruction coexist.
욕망의 이중성
깨진 달항아리에서 흘러내리는 물줄기와 손에서 흩어지는 꽃과 나비는, 욕망이 지닌 양면성을 상징한다. 욕망은 생명을 피우고 세상을 움직이는 힘이지만, 동시에 자연을 깨뜨리고 불안정과 결핍을 낳는다. 전통 문양과 자연의 요소를 결합해, 채움과 비움, 생성과 파괴가 공존하는 인간의 내면을 표현했다
